Vogue editor Anna Wintour is rarely seen without dark glasses at fashion shows.

In an interview with CBS's 60 Minutes, to be aired on Sunday in the United States, the elusive British-born magazine legend explains why she likes to hide her eyes.

According to Wintour, 59, her signature shades act as "armour".

She says if she's enjoying a runway show - or bored out of her mind - nobody will notice.
