How the pension age will rise

The pension age will be 67 by 2023. But now the Abbott government wants to lift the pension age to 70 by 2035.

That means the pension age will increase by six months every two years from 2023.

2023 - 67 (age pension eligibility)

2025 - 67.5

2027 - 68

2029 - 68.5

2031 - 69

2033 - 69.5

2035 - 70

It will affect you only if you were born on or after 1965.
