Flood evacuation order for Woronora residents

Rising flood waters have caused the SES to issue an evacuation order for Woronora residents. Residents in the following areas are directed to leave as soon as possible:
Deepwater Estate, Woronora
Prices Circuit between Park Road and Menai Road, Woronora
Thorpe Road, Woronora
Prince Edward Park Road between Thorpe Road and Deepwater Estate, Woronora

Evacuation order for Milperra residents

Residents in low-lying areas of Milperra have been ordered to evacuate by 9pm after extensive flooding to Georges River, the NSW SES said. The areas include:
Auld Avenue, Henry Lawson Drive opposite Auld Avenue, Milperra
Motorboat Club at Deepwater Park
Whittle Avenue
Keysor Place, and
Henry Lawson Drive, opposite Maclaurin Drive in East Hills
The SES warned residents not to delay their evacuation.

Residents evacuated as Narrabeen Lagoon floods

An overflowing Narrabeen Lagoon has forced residents to evacuate from their homes, the NSW SES said. Lakeside Holiday Park and the Sydney Academy of Sport and Recreation have also been evacuated. Most residents have relocated to stay with family and friends, but evacuation centres are operating at Pittwater RSL and Cromer Community Centre.
SES have warned it is unlikely waters will recede from the lagoon before tomorrow with more rain falling and a high tide tonight.

Latest public transport updates

The Transport Management Centre has these updates from across the public transport network.
Trains:
The T1 North Shore Line is partially closed between Chatswood and North Sydney due to a tree caught in overhead wiring at Wollstonecraft. A limited bus service is operating between Chatswood and North Sydney.
The T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line is partially closed between Edgecliff and Bondi Junction due to a tree caught in overhead wiring at Edgecliff,
The South Coast Line is partially closed between Waterfall and Thirroul, Wollongong and Port Kembla and Wollongong and Bomaderry due to heavy rainfall and urgent signal equipment repairs at various locations. Buses are replacing trains between Wollongong and Bomaderry, and Waterfall and Thirroul but due to flooding are unable to run between Wollongong and Port Kembla.
Trains are running on the T1 Northern Line and the Central Coast & Newcastle Line but passengers should allow plenty of extra travel time.
Ferries:
Buses are replacing ferries between Manly and Circular Quay due to heavy swells.
Buses are replacing ferries between Meadowbank and Parramatta due to flooding at the Parramatta Weir and heavy swells.
Ferries between Palm Beach, Wagstaffe and Ettalong are not operating due to heavy swells.
Buses:
Various buses are diverting and delayed in the Sydney metropolitan region.
Passengers are advised to delay all non-essential travel.

Flood evacuation warning for Old Toongabbie

The NSW SES is warning residents near Toongabbie Creek to prepare for evacuation because of damage to the flood levee bank. The warning is for homes in the following low-lying areas:

Chircan Street
Four properties along Oaks Road, Winston Hills

Volunteers at Avoca Beach on the NSW central coast have come together to lay sandbags to stop the Surf Live Saving Club from flooding.

Update: Two kayakers rescued

Finally some good news! The two kayakers reported to in distress in Burraneer Bay at 3:49pm have been rescued by a jet ski, according to Westpac rescue helicopter CEO Stephen Leahy.
