A few things to note:

  • Patrick's last words were him talking about the baby (oh so bittersweet)
  • The Proudmans had another party that went wrong (and how!)
  • Nina never found out what Patrick's surprise was (next week?).

I'm still struggling to type the words, but yes, Patrick is dead. Here is how I prefer to remember him (the towel scene seemed inappropriate).

But first, a look at next week, and we see both a funeral and then Nina in hospital with her baby. Alone.

A doctor walks in and chases Nina for an answer. GO AWAY!! Nina was much more polite than that though.

Until she seems him lying on a bed hooked up to tubes. She starts crying, then sits next to him. Kate joins her but then says "I can't just sit here and watch him die" and she touches his shoulder and then leaves.

Patrick is an organ donor apparently. Of course he is, but, oh god, we are now at this conversation. Nina is still holding herself together.

Kim gets the call and goes straight to Martin. This is all done without words and is VERY UPSETTING.
