The Mannequin Challenge involves videos of people pausing mid-action or dance usually to the tune of Rae Sremmurd's Black Beatles.

The viral phenomenon is thought to have began with high school students in Florida in October.

The hashtag #mannequinchallenge has produced a stream of videos including Britney's mid-dance performance, Ellen Degeneres at the White House and 6000 school leavers frozen at a West Australian beach.
