Antonia Kidman's former husband Angus Hawley has died in New York, the second tragedy in less than a year for the high-profile family.
Family friends have confirmed the news to Fairfax Media of the 46-year-old's sudden death.
Hawley, who most recently worked for a private wealth company in Sydney, is believed to have died from an apparent heart attack after returning from a swim.
Kidman and Hawley split up in 2007. The couple have four children together, Lucia, Hamish, James and Sybella.
Kidman married businessman Craig Marran in 2010, while Hawley wed Prue Fisher, a Sydney fashion boutique manager.
His death comes nearly seven months after Nicole and Antonia Kidman farewelled their father, Antony.
Dr Kidman, a renowned clinical psychologist, died suddenly from a suspected heart attack at the exclusive Tanglin Club in Singapore in September, while visiting Antonia's family.
